I wish I had this collection years ago.
The Teletronix LA-2A Collection has become my go-to for compression. They are super simple to use and they sound great.
It can be easy to go down the rabbit hole of trying to find the best software compressor - I've tried quite a few. And, while many of them are decent, I almost always end up using a Teletronix LA-2A. They just work.

Nice flavours
Been enjoying using this plugin a lot! It's a real character machine, easy to use, and the results always seem to sit well in a mix. Sometimes you don't need a lot of tweakable options to be a really useful tool, case in point.....the LA 2A. Not much to play with, it just works....really well!

eQ musical polyvalent
j'ai découvert la musicalité (légendaire et décrite mainte fois) de cet eQ qui fait sonner "justement" chaque instrument en modifiant simplement quelques potentiomètres (chose impossible avec des eQ classiques)
ils ont maintenant leur place sur chaque pistes de mon mixage

Amazing sounds made easy.
Personally I love the sounds I am getting out of this. But being an old analogue freak I would have loved a great retro design, and the producer in me would have loved to be able to dial in more, getting more into the nitty of things.
This is made for kids, great fun, easy to use, sounds truly amazing but if it is the avenue for someone like UA to take? I am not so sure, it is retro starwars vs. lego, and I would hate to see things going Disney.

Spectacular quality
This is amazing guys, the audio quality on this thing is worldclass and the synth have the essentials parts to make great sounds, and a lots of them. Ua needs to mantain this piece of software and keep making it better, like, more features and more presets, but it is great as it is. Im gonna repeat the same in a couple of reviews in this site; ua needs to start making the plugins available for ipad pro since the new ipads are very capable machines and logic pro is available now. Thanks for making the best sounding plugins for us who work in the box. I tried so much stuff and yours are the best.

After trying many Pultec's ITB - this is the one I use the most.
When I think of the Pultec sound I fondly think of how this pair brings out the musical clarity of every mix we do.
We do a lot mix wise, from Grammy winning EDM tunes, to mixing a super tight local jazz band of pro's looking for their live sound to tape, this one consistently delivers.
The MEQ-5 probably gets more use on channel duties for electronic music and EDM drums than any of our other tools. Nothing keeps the transient clarity, while getting rid of those hard 1.5-4k klacky, or that hashy unmusical midrange tones.
The HP and LP filters are fantastic for shaping drum loops and focusing them prior to hitting Oxide hard to obliterates headroom eating peaks.
We also have the "Pultec" bass trick on the Main buss, too...
Out of all of the Pultec emulations we have on our system from some awesome developers, UA is consistently at the top of the pick every time.

You can’t go wrong with these. I love how you can crank them up and always sound good.

there's a reason this is in every big studio
this is one of those rare pieces of gear where just passing through the circuit does a little something. don't forget to mess around with boosting and cutting the same frequency.

Finally getting into the Pultec World
I've been really digging into this plugin the last couple weeks, and I have to say I'm blown away. The realism and the versatility of it brings out the magic of individual tracks and on the mix bus just seems to pull everything together. I don't put very many plugins into every mix— but this has just joined the short list.

I like it but
So I like it actually but not having a dry/wet knob and a mix knob is what is killing me. I have found away around it but using a bus and for me it gives some control. If it had this knob it would be perfect. Overall it sounds great. Simple not a lot going on I love that I don’t have to overthink

Needs a wet/dry blend
Don’t waste your money on the upgraded version. Sounds are fine, some even good, but offers very little flexibility for professionals. This is an ameuter hour release from a company that should know better. If the advanced model was free I’d have less issue but to pay $99 or $199 when promo ends is laughable. Do better UA, this is laziness.
