Fantastic
The best compressor for acoustic guitar, the only one I've found that sounds great on hard strumming with minimal fiddling. I love this plugin!

I really like this little monster
It is one of the first Uad plug ins and still one of the best.
I would like to see this plug jn gets a GUI update but it still sound amazing.
I use it on bus groups, vocals and guitars.

Great Compressor !!!
This little Compressor is a great piece of gear. I know a lot of people love it on drums but it actually sounds good on about anything. I prefer it on vocals along with the Maag EQ4 it brings life into them.

Simple to use with stand out results
You can really make sounds pop out of the mix. I found it great to control my eurorack synths when the sound is totally glitching out.

Good solid compressor
I wanted another compressor for my arsenal. I already had the LA-2A, and that was the compressor I most often used on tracks especially vocals, to get it to sit well in the nix. To my ears, the LA-3A sounds quite similar, taming vocals and guitars well and making a mix much more balanced. I'm no expert, but the LA-2A and 3A are quite similar to my ears, and if you like the LA-2A (and I do very much) this is a good addition to your compressor arsenal.

Favorite Reverb Plugin
This is definitely my favorite reverb plugin now. I just demoed it recently, with a suspecting hunch that I wouldn't be able to live without it afterwards. I was right!
This is by far the most lush, flexible, and just plain awesome reverb plugin I've ever come across. It is in a different league altogether than the native plugins I was working with before from competing companies.
I love the fact that you can get a subtle verb with short or medium room-sound trails and a dark sound for jazz tracks, or go all out and get some chorusing long extended bright reverb trails going and recreate sounds from Blade Runner on your synths with the same plugin and mix to taste!
Incredible tool, amazing sound, 5 stars.

When there's no time to mess around, and you have to deliver the product, you'll want to stick with this baby :). So far I've used it on parts of drum kits, bass (usually behind 1176se), and vocals. Thank you UAD, for this great compressor!

Great in a mix
Prefer the EMT 140 for out-and-out quality, but this sits better in some mixes. Very different to the EMT and a good combination with the 140.

Universal Audio rocks!
If you had to pick one compressor which gives you maximum gain,ultra fast attach & release,enhances anything it touches with an outstanding sound which doesn't take away the character of the original sound & is dead easy to use….this would be it!
The LA-3A…the sound of an LA-2A & 1176 in an easy to use box!
If I could only have the one compressor…this would be it.
Thankfully due to UA's unbelievable armory of classic compressors we are not confined to one, or two great compressors amongst other 'good' ones…like the old days.
Like others's have said…if you have the 1176,LA-2A..you have to add this,no question!

Nicest verb for your mix
A lot of reverbs seem to be stuck in the background, and sometimes you want that. A lot get lost in hectic songs, or have a poor sound or an overwhelming sound when you try to get them to cut into the mix. My first reaction to the 224 plugin was "okay it doesn't really sound like the real one but my does it work. This plugin can cut through a mix and make the reverb a part of the journey more than many others. It can also sit in the background if you want and stay out of the way. It is really a dream come true for my reverb arsenal.

This was a no brainer
Fills the bill for any type of reverb from small rooms to large halls and more. Can't get over how realistic this software emulation sounds.

Amazing Reverb!
I have compared it to other reverbs from Valhalla and 2cAudio Breeze, and the Lexicon 224 was the clear winner for me. What sold me on it, and the EMT 250, is that the tails don't sound metallic. These two UAD 2 plugins are the most natural sounding, to my ears (didn't really like the EMT 140 though), and don't get in the way of the instrument they are enhancing. You can't go wrong with this plugin.

Last but not least !
This was the last plug I purchaced thinking i had everything covered. To my surprise it turn out being my fave on snare , percussion, many other instruments. Maybe this should of been my first. This comp, Rocks!!
